Madame Alexe Popova

Russia's Man Handler

Alexe Popova 1879-1909

Madame Popova's murders began in 1879 and in March of 1909,  the police were tipped off by a woman who became remorseful after her husband had been "taken care of".  During her thirty year rein, Mandame Popova had "taken care of" over 300 men in a span of thirty years. Madame Popova ran a small disposal service for spare change and executed her commissions with dispatch. Her means of disposal was poison.  She carried out her service by becoming familiar with her victims by seducing them first and then poisoning them by slipping the arsenal in their food or drink (Vodka).

Madame Popova was an advocate of "women's liberation" long before the cause became formally recognized.

It is said that Alexe Popova remained unrepentant as she stood in front of a firing squad in St. Petersburg.  Initially, she was saved from an angry mob of what probably was mostly angry men.  However, she subsequently was executed.

Madame Popova said she was justified for her actions and also stated she never killed a women.
